Going Home

Today has been bittersweet. I admitted my first resident into our newly renovated hospice room. We've worked hard to create an atmosphere of comfort and quiet for those whose last days on this earth are imminent. However, it's still difficult to watch a family go through that process no matter how beautiful the surroundings might be.

The sweet part of my day has been the fact that this resident and the family knows Jesus. They know their eternal security rests in the work He did on the cross over 2000 years ago.
